Janet Marks
Health Care Administrator

Janet Marks happily joined the team at Covenant Retirement Communities in the summer of 2015.  She is a native Coloradan, growing up nearby in Wheat Ridge, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. Into her position as Health Care Administrator, she brings several years of Long Term Care leadership and a passion for making health care excellent.

Thomas Odya
Director of Nursing

Tom Odya is a passionate Registered Nurse with over nine years experience in quality and performance improvement, with over 25 years experience in patient-focused care. He began his career in healthcare as a Nursing Assistant in Skilled Nursing facilities in the late 1980’s and knew nursing was his calling. He then pursued his LPN for several years and got his RN degree in 1995. His most recent position was a House Supervisor at a Long Term Acute Care Specialty Hospital. Tom has worked in various levels of nursing including Progressive Care, Intensive Care, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Care Transitions at Boulder Community Hospital. Tom was a member of Boulder County’s Care Transitions Committee, developed focus groups with Skilled Nursing Facilities, participated on the Colorado Hospital Association’s Quality Professionals Committee, and helped in developing the Colorado Hospital Report Card. Tom is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and an Improvement Advisor through the Institute of Healthcare Improvement’s Professional Development program. Tom was born in Las Vegas, and is the youngest of six children. Tom’s hobbies include: camping, hiking, fishing and traveling.

Kent Mulkey
Executive Director

Kent Mulkey's 18-year senior housing leadership experience includes management, training and operations at 28 senior living communities in 10 states. He earned a bachelor's degree at California State University-Chico, and a master's degree in counseling psychology at Denver Seminary. His certifications include Certified Assisted Living Administrator through the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, and Residential Facilities for the Elderly Administrator in California.

Peter Milbourn
Associate Executive Director

Peter Milbourn received his bachelor’s degree from North Park University and for the past nine years has served within the ministry of Covenant Retirement Communities. He brings many years of experience to Covenant Village of Colorado including positions as Marketing/Community Outreach Representative at Covenant Village of the Great Lakes, Marketing Director at Covenant Village of Colorado and Associate Administrator at Covenant Village of Northbrook. He now serves as the Associate Executive Director at Covenant Village of Colorado.

Keep in mind, you do not have to be a current member of our retirement community to benefit from our Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing or short-term Rehabilitation services, nor will you have to pay an entrance fee to enter one of the areas noted above. In our short-term Rehabilitation program, we accept Medicare and are in-network providers for a number of managed care and Medicare Advantage programs.
